Introduction Yellowham
Farmhouse is situated in the very heart of Hardy Country nestling on the edge
of the idyllic Yellowham Wood at the end of a long tarmac drive in 60 acres of
farmland where peace and tranquillity are guaranteed offering four guest rooms
on the ground floor. Pre-Arrival
- We
are located at the end of a 300 yard tarmac drive. Our location is peaceful and
remote and not ideally suited to those travelling without a car.
- The nearest
shops are approximately 2 miles awayThe nearest bus stop is just under a mile
away
at Higher Kingston. - The
nearest railway station is Dorchester which is approximately 3 miles away. Taxis
are usually available at the station but we can book one for you in advance if
required.

Arrival
and Car Parking
- Our
reception is closed between 12.00 noon and 4.00 p.m. Guests wishing to check in
between these times are kindly requested to inform us in advance.
- Parking is
on a tarmac surface with bays marked for efficient parking.
Main
Entrance & Reception
- There are two steps of 3.5 inches and
5 inches up to the reception door. The door is always open but please ring the
bell on your arrival.
Guest
Accommodation - Public Areas - There
is one step down of 6 inches leading to a hall which is carpeted from which the
bedrooms, dining room and lounge are accessed.
- The accommodation is centrally
heated throughout but temperatures can be adjusted in each room to suit individual
requirements.
Lounge
and Dining Room - The
dining room is one step up of 6 inches at the end of the hallway. There are individual
breakfast tables and the floor is tiled.
- Guests are welcome to use the
lounge at any time.
- The spacious lounge is to the right of the dining
room and is carpeted and has a Jotul gas fire.
- The lounge has two large
sofas and two large armchairs. There is a card table and four
further Bombay
chairs. - A selection of local information, magazines and books are available
in the lounge.
Bedrooms
- The
bedrooms are on the ground floor and are carpeted throughout.
- The bedrooms
comprise a double room, a twin bedded room, a family room and a single room.
- All
bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and have been designed with ease
of comfort in mind.
- The bedrooms are en-suite consisting of bath with
shower over, WC and washbasin.
- Tea and coffee facilities are provided.
- We
also provide clock/radio, television, hairdryer and torch.
- The beds are
made with duvets.
- There are two chairs, a wardrobe, chests of drawers
and dressing table in each bedroom.
- There is a folder in each bedroom
which contains further information and 'Eating Out' information.
Gardens
- There
is a large woodland garden which guests are very welcome to enjoy at all times.
- Access
to the garden is up several steps with a wall on both sides.
- Sun loungers
and garden chairs are available for guests
Additional
Information
- There are fire extinguishers at strategic points and
these are shown on a location map in the bedroom.
- In the case of a fire
the building can be evacuated at any point on the ground floor as shown on a location
map in the bedroom.
- We do not permit smoking in any part of the guest
accommodation. Guests may however
smoke in the garden. - We are happy
to cater for special dietary requirements. Please advise us of these prior to
arrival.
- Mobile phone reception is patchy in the guest accommodation but
is generally ok in the garden.
